The Formula Ford Association has announced that a new tyre will be used in Formula Ford and Formula Ford 1600 classes in 2016 with the signing of a three year deal with Yokohama.
In light of today’s statement by CAMS, we acknowledge that we have once again been subject to a purely political manoeuvre, and will continue to defend and conduct the running of our successful National Series of Formula Ford for both Kent and Duratec engine cars.

Due to recent comments made by a Senior member of the CAMS management group regarding the future of Formula Ford at a National level, the Formula Ford Association would like to once again clarify our position within the Australian open wheel market.
The Formula Ford Association would like to be clear in stating that we will have a National based Formula Ford series in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and through to at least 2020.

North American Formula F1600 stars Tristan DeGrand and Max Mällinen have been added to the Borland Racing Developments Spectrum line up for the final round of the Australian Formula Ford Series at Phillip Island this weekend.
