2018 Australian Formula Ford Champion, Hunter McElrea, has won the 2018 Mazda Road To Indy Shootout. McElrea will be racing in the 2019 USF2000 Series thanks to a whopping US$200,000 scholarship, provided by Mazda Motorsports.

Mazda Road to Indy have announced the details of their third annual shootout. This year the Mazda Road to Indy USF2000 $200K Scholarship Shootout will be held at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park, the primary race track of the Bondurant Racing School. The Arizona-based racing school is set to host the USF2000 shootout on December 8th-9th.

Over the weekend, Australian Formula Ford drivers Hunter McElrea and Cameron Shields tested wings and slicks machinery during the annual Chris Griffis Memorial Test, organised specifically for the Mazda Road To Indy.

This weekend Australian Formula Ford drivers Hunter McElrea and Cameron Shields will be participating in the 2018 Chris Griffis Memorial Open Test organized by the Mazda Road To Indy.
