Formula Ford hits the track at Bathurst
In great conditions, the Formula Ford 1600 field have hit the track in their practice session at the 2013 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 hour event.
Setting the pace was New South Welshmen young gun Jonathan Venter followed by one of the most underrated drivers in the country, Mitch Martin and, hero from the early 2000's, Brett "The Gun" Francis.
A range of cars including Phil Marrinon's 1983 champion winning Galloway to the lastest Spectrum, Mygale and Spirit chassis make up the field with no doubt all enjoying the experience.
Bathurst champion, Brian Sampson, has also made a return to the track competing in his Spectrum 06B and proving that he can still mix it with the best.
The tight schedule will see Formula Ford hitting the track for their qualifying session at 12:00pm followed by their first race at 4:30pm.
The race faces will come on for qualifying with the young guns set to lead the charge.
