2019 Adelaide Motorsport Festival EOI

The Formula Ford Association Inc. is currently looking at options to run a Formula Ford category at the 2019 Adelaide Motorsport Festival, Victoria Park Sprint. The event will be held on the 7th and 8th of December with four sessions on track over the weekend and there will also be at least one practice session on Friday 6th of December. The Adelaide Motorsport Festival is now considered one of the best exhibitions of historic and significant racing cars and motorcycles in the country. The event is run in a sprint format and is held on a shortened version of the Adelaide Grand Prix circuit. In 2019, it is expected that the event will attract around 220 competitors with vehicles from a wide range of categories including Formula 1 and Touring Cars. The Adelaide Motorsport Festival has grown in popularity over the last several years and this year it is expected that the event will have a 1-hour post-event TV broadcast on free-to-air television, as well as attendance similar to the 2018 event (around 47,000 people over the weekend). The FFA will offer a $100 rebate to assist in entry costs if the minimum entries are achieved and Formula Fords are confirmed as a category for the event*. The entry includes undercover garaging and 3 weekend event entry passes. In order to determine the interest for this event and having a specific Formula Ford category, we ask those that would like to enter to submit an expression of interest (form attached here) to the South Australian member of the FFA Committee, Hayden Jarrett. Expressions of interest will close on Friday 24th May. GST) only if a Formula Ford category will be confirmed - the normal cost of entry is $895 inc. GST. The entry rebate is subsidised only for current FFA members. The confirmation of the Formula Ford category at the event will be decided by the promoters of the event, independently from the Formula Ford Association committee. Minimum entries to have the Formula Ford category confirmed is 14.
