2021 AFFC - Sandown round cancelled
Due to conditions out of our control, we are forced to cancel round 3 of the 2021 Australian Formula Ford Championship. The round was scheduled to be held at Sandown Raceway on July 23rd-25th. The event is going ahead and with it is round 4 of the 2021 Victorian Formula Ford Championship. We invite all Victorian competitors that have entered for the event to still participate and support our state championship. The AFFC management is hard at work to try and find an alternative round at another venue to maintain the full schedule of the 7-round 2021 National championship. We invite all interstate competitors who will not participate in the event to contact the promoters of the event after the event has finished to get a refund of their entry and garage fees - we don’t want to increase the amount of workload on the event organisers during this complex time. We do ask those competitors who got a garage with their entry to send a quick email to the promoters so garages can be re-allocated to other participants if possible. This timeline has been discussed between the FFA and the promoters of the race meeting and will NOT affect your ability to get a refund. The AFFC management is also in close contact with the organisers of our Queensland Raceway round that is scheduled for August 6th-8th. The current restrictions imposed on our NSW and ACT competitors will be in place at least until the last week of July and could impact our QLD round, as well. We will be monitoring the situation and liaising with the QLD organisers over the next couple of weeks to give our National competitors some updated news as soon as we can. We would like to once again underline that round 4 of the 2021 Victorian Formula Ford Championship at Sandown Raceway is going ahead and invite all of our Victorian competitors to participate and support this event.
