Entries are now open for the 2024 Australian Formula Ford 1600 Nationals.

Scrutiny forms, please complete and bring them to the event for Scrutineering. No requirement to email beforehand.


The entry method is via Motorsport Australia Online Event Entry system, first time users will need to register an account. Filter by club "Warwick District Sporting Car Club Inc". Event is titled "Round 5 - 2024 Qld Circuit Racing State Championship – Morgan Park". Fees below can be pre-paid during entry.

Competition numbers: 

First preference will be given to Queensland competitors on the Motorsport Australia Qld register (as below). Second preference will be given in order of entry. Triple digits are allowed, letters are not. As numbers are resolved, the entry list will be updated.

Kent-only grid for the entire Event, including practice:

With sufficient interest received, a dedicated Kent-only grid has been secured. For clarity and superseding early information, any Duratec competitors will instead join the separate Sports & Racing Cars grid.



Timing - MyLaps transponder required:

A MyLaps X2/TR2 transponder is required. They can be hired for $30 if you don't own one, arranged either during entry or at the track.

Results available on Natsoft.



Carports:

$110. Booked and paid at time of entry online. Formula Ford will be grouped together, and we will endeavor to allocate team/state entries together.



Camping:

Camping is permitted in the paddock area from Wednesday onward. No booking or payment is required. Showers are located at the Northern-end of carports and in the lower paddock along the East boundary fence.



Practice Restrictions:

Testing is prohibited at the venue on the Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday prior to the Event. The testing restriction relates to use of a Formula Ford 1600 Automobile. The use of the Automobile whether it complies with technical regulations or not will constitute use in relation to the testing restriction.



Wednesday Practice - 6th November (optional):

Following interstate competitor requests, Testing on the Wednesday is available. $100 for the full day, with at least six 15 minute sessions through the day. Being open to the general public, the number of attendees will determine the groups run on the day, with even more sessions possible. Kent Formula Ford will have a private group. Gates open 6:30am, drives briefing 8:30am, on-track 9:00am.


$100 paid on the day at sign-on, or enter here beforehand.


If you attend Wednesday Practice, you can remain setup in your Weekend Carport or Paddock Tent area.



Thursday Park-up (optional):

Bump-in access from 8:00am - 4:00pm. Please note: No on-track activity this day.



Friday Practice:

9:00am - 4:00pm, with four 15 minute sessions through the day. Kent Formula Ford will have a private group. Gates open at 6:30am. Drivers briefing at 8:30am.


$110 paid on the day at sign-on, or at time of online entry. 



Licence requirements:

Minimum of a Motorsport Australia Provisional Circuit licence (PC) required. The event is sanctioned by Motorsport Australia, so AASA / Racers licences are not valid.


Also you must be a member of a Motorsport Australia affiliated car club… good reason to join the Formula Ford Association!



Vehicle Fire Extinguishers:

Confirmed that only a hand-held unit is required. Fire-bomb systems are not mandatory, but welcome.



Spectator & Crew passes:

Passes not required, event is free to spectate.



Radios for Race Management Channel (RMC) monitoring NOT REQUIRED:

Morgan Park does NOT operate a RMC or require drivers to have a radio fitted.



Control Fuel:

We will not have a control fuel supplier at this Event. In town there is Caltex, BP and Shell supplying 98 octane.



Tyres:

Only one set of tyres will be permitted for use in Qualifying and all races during the Event. They will be marked for identification by the Technical Director (TD) prior to Qualifying.


It is not mandatory to purchase new tyres.


Currently Yokohama tyre sales are restricted to National Events. To obtain a new set of tyres for this Event, they must be ordered through the Qld Yokohama Motorsport Dealer (details below) and will be delivered at the Circuit. The Dealer will be at the Event to supply and fit tyres.
